For as long as she can remember, Lucy Claire has found it challenging to choose whether to pick up the crayon first or the pen. If it’s a crayon day, you can find her immersed in creating mixed-media work, complete with layers of paint, crayon, colored pencil, and collage. (See below for a sample of her work.)
If it’s a crayon day, Lucy Claire is yearning for form and color, and not too much structure, thank you very much. If she can lie down in a flower bed for the greater part of the afternoon and listen to the trees talking with the wind, that will be just fine.
